Halo 3 to be presented at E3?

According to the people over at IGN, Microsoft will be introducing their latest episode in the Halo series on the 9th of May. Apparantely a certain Microsoft employee spilled the beans and said that the company would release a trailer of the game on that exact date.

The video is allegedly two minutes long, although its contents weren't divulged. We're guessing a wild breathtaking battle on Earth. Knowing Microsoft, the publisher will want to show all real, in-game engine footage to counter Sony's fantastical CG videos from E3 2005.

When Microsoft was contacted, they refused to comment on these statements. Shane Kim, General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios however, announced the following on a New-Zealand website:

"You mean the mythical Halo 3? I mean, it's silly to deny its existence when the chairman of MS (Bill Gates) announced it, but I have nothing to announce now, but expect there to be a significant announcement at E3."

Now if that doesn't sound promising, I don't know what will.

Meh I don't get what all the craze is about Halo, played the 1st one on pc and thought it was average if not below. Now don't any of you Halo fanboys start cussing and flaming. :)

Wow verions 3 of a crapy FPS for a console!! Halo for the PC was not average, it was quite sub-par. Look at the game that came out around the same time: Alien Versus Predator 2, Deus Ex, Soldier of Fortune, Red Faction, Return to Castle Wolfenstein ... I'd rather play anyone of these games instead of Halo!!!
