Halo 4 = Gearbox' X360 successor launch title?
Big news today as the guys from OXM are running a rumour in their October number stating that Gearbox Software is working on Halo 4 (working title) and that it will be the launch title for Microsoft's next console.
Ok, let's look at the facts to see how much truth there can be in this rumour:
Gearbox' boss Randy Pitchford stated in February that his studio was working on something "big" "big" meaning "bigger than anything Gearbox ever worked on" Pitchford stated he'll be overlooking the project himself and that he can't oversell the game Bungie admitted that they're not interested in only making Halo games anymore With a standard game development time of 4 years, that would make the next Xbox to be released somewhere around 2011 or 2012, exactly the timeframe an analyst noted today So does it sound plausible? It sure does!
