Halo: Combat Evolved getting full remake end of the year
There have been plenty of rumours about a possible remake of Halo: Combat Evolved and now Joystiq has gotten their hands on some more dirt.
It won't be just a simple rerelease of Bungie's game from 2001 with higher resolution, but the game will in fact be completely redone. The controls will be adjustable and the graphics will be a lot better than in the original.
According to the same sources, development is being taken care of by Saber Interactive, the studio that previously already created Timeshift and is also working on Inversion.
343 Industries is keeping an eye on things while they're also working on the new game in the Halo universe. It's expected the remake will be playable in 1080p and will support 3D. Online co-op is also on the wishlist.
No release date is yet given, but seeing as the game will turn ten on November 16th, that wouldn't be such a bad timing.
