Halo for PC new details

Bungie.net has a FAQ about Halo, and it has been updated with some new questions.
Some of them have details about the beta and the demo.
It says that a demo wil be released after the game goes retail and that the multiplayer will have a beta test.

Q Will there be any kind of Beta test?

A We are definitely planning on beta testing the multiplayer portion of the game. However, we have not yet determined whether or not it will be a private/closed beta or a public/open beta. Any new updates will be announced here on Bungie.net.

They say in their FAQ that they have no date about when they will release the game...
but if you read the entry about the release of the mac version, you get to know that it will be after the pc version "later this year"
