Hellgate: London co-published by EA
Publisher Namco/Bandai has announced that it will take in EA as a partner to co-publish the first-person action rpg Hellgate: London in Europe and North America.
Before you all go mad and start with "pff, another game prolly wasted", it's just a publishing deal. EA won't have any say on the development of the game itself as that remains the domain of Flagship Studios, the actual creators.
So, the only bad thing EA "could" do are shitty packaging, poor distribution or not enough marketing. Seeing most of their products in store, that'll likely won't be the case here.
In further Hellgate news: Flagship has recently revealed a new class, the Hunter, the kind of character that will appeal to FPS fans. It's the third class (of more classes probably), next to the Templar and the Cabalist. Screens of this new class can be found here.

As part of the agreement, EA will handle marketing, sales and distribution of the game, while NAMCO BANDAI will continue to work with Flagship Studios on the development of the game and numerous ancillary partnerships including novels, toys, manga, comics and more. The new agreement does not affect Flagship Studio's granting of rights to NAMCO BANDAI to publish future Hellgate: London products.

The archetype of the Hunter is obscure, cloaked in mystery and subterfuge. In one way he is the Assassin, the Ninja, the knife in the dark. In other ways, he is the Ronin, a highly-trained warrior with no master. In yet more, he is the Destroyer, a force of blazing gunfire and deadly accuracy that lays waste to any foe that stands in his way.
Their weaponry was/is a mix of hyper-advanced technology and theoretical science. Their people are boisterous groups of practical hard-asses who have survived the Demon invasion thus far by remaining a few steps ahead and keeping the Cabalists and Templar a few steps behind. They are also men and women that have been subjected to indescribable horrors long before any Demon touched Earth's soil.
"Since the announcement of Hellgate: London, we've had a lot of requests for a class of characters that place an emphasis on player skill through mid-to-long ranged weapon attacks," said Bill Roper, CEO and co-founder of Flagship Studios. "By removing auto-aiming and target-locking, the Hunter has been designed to provide a game play experience which will appeal directly to FPS players."
