Here comes Steam to wreck the day!
This week, one of the most important lan parties ever was held in Las Vegas (USA), and as many expected, it went terribly wrong.
First of al, and perhaps the most tragic event for many clans who had come, the promised Counterstrike tournament with $100.000 of prize money was cancelled, due to problems with steam it is said, though not much is certain.
Some rumors have appeared, claiming that the crew of the LAN is thinking of taking legal steps against Valve.
However there is more. Others tournaments were unable to finish, and the replacement tournament for CS was cancelled to. It appears that the predictions were true and the LAN was doomed in the first place.
It appears most gamers at the lan are lost at the moment, and no official statements of the crew will be made in the near future.

Counter-Strike has been removed from the CXG event. The reasons why are unknown but Arbee mentioned the organizers talking about suing VALVE for some reason. It's apparently very chaotic there right now and the decision was just now announced at a big meeting between the organizers and the major teams.
Did we ever ask for you to develop Steam our dear Valve :DHowever there is more. Others tournaments were unable to finish, and the replacement tournament for CS was cancelled to. It appears that the predictions were true and the LAN was doomed in the first place.
The amount of gamers in Las Vegas is about to decrease heavily within the next few hours. The CyberXGaming event is at its final stage and seems to become what some people anticipated; one of the biggest mistakes in the history of major events. Just moments ago, I was informed by the CXG staff that the remaining game of Counter-Strike, which would be the nations cup, has been canned.
Apparently, there's even more. WarCraft III and Quake III: Arena tournaments are not likely to finish and what's left of everything else is slowly vanishing. Servers are being moved, tables are brought out and people are slowly vanishing with great absolutely no idea on what's going to happen. It appears most gamers at the lan are lost at the moment, and no official statements of the crew will be made in the near future.
