High Court stops Manhunt 2 in UK
A judge doesn't seem to find Manhunt 2 is suitable for the British public.
Eurogamer is reporting that although Rockstar's appeal to The British Board of Film Classification not wanting to give the game a rating was succesful, High Court judge the Honourable Mr Justice Mitting has now declared there was "a clear error of law" in the committee's decision.
According to the judge, the committee looked at whether the game would cause any actual harm to youngsters while in fact, they should have considered it in a wider sense of potential harm.
The VAC now has two weeks to make a new decision based on new guidelines the judge has set out.
Chances of Manhunt 2 ever getting on sale are getting slimmer by the minute it seems...
I'm pretty sure that if Rockstar were to call the game something else than "Manhunt" (which has some nasty history in the UK), they would get it on store shelves before you can say "violence". Stupid fucks...
