Hitman : Codename 47 Hands-On

Another hands-on of Hitman : Codename 47 has been posted over at Gaming-age[BLOCK]Even after the short amount of time that I’ve spent with Hitman: Codename 47, it’s obvious this will be a frustrating game. During development, IO Interactive seems to have a tough time deciding whether or not they wanted this to be a stealth-oriented game or an all out action game, since there are elements of both present. Right off the bat, it emphasizes using the sniper rifle to take out enemies from afar, but when you have to come in contact with enemies in closer range, little more than four shots will be enough to take you down. Some of it’s due to the control issues, such as where running is not done as an on/off option, but where the run button will start the character in a straight run and holding down normal forward will cancel it out. But then there is the cumbersome interface that doesn’t allow quick weapon switching (numerical keys don’t work, you have to press page up and down to switch between weapons, and then left click to equip it).[/BLOCK]Nice to see a preview that's not so positive once and a while :)
