Hitman movie upcoming but without Vin Diesel

Ain't it Cool is reporting that Fox has given the green light for an upcoming Hitman movie.

Although Vin Diesel's name was being mentioned for the role of Agent 47 for quite some time, it will be Deadwood's Timothy Olyphant instead that takes the lead.

It’s Timothy Olyphant instead. And, frankly, I think that’s awesome casting. I’m a huge fan of DEADWOOD, I can’t wait to see him play another growling, deadly sonofabitch.

Luc Besson has just come aboard the film to co-produce along with Chuck Gordon, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter, and the film should be in theaters as early as next fall from 20th Century Fox.

Timothy Olyphant is frankly the worse choice you could have for a hitman. Vin Diesel fits the role perfectly. However, it really doesn't matter to me, as this movie will suck balls. Screenplay is written by Skip Woods, who wrote Swordfish. Need I say more?

Oh ffs the only thing that had this movie goign for it was Vin Diesel, now im defo not gonna watch it. 47 needs to look ice cold and deadly, not like a fucking drugy.

The Hitman games sucked dick big time but the movie might not be that bad, you have to wait and see.

I very much disagree. Swordfish had an awful story, with even more pile of bullshit wannabe hacking, which was hilariously bad. And the fact that the movie took this whole shit seriously... I don't even know where to start.

Hitman games are great.

We have different taste in this case.

Hitman games ftw, especially blood money, that one had a good story, good cinematics, good action, and good twists in the storyline too. Plus the open endedness in all the hitman games was great, there are tons of ways to finish any mission, whichever way suits your style/mode.

As for swordfish, haven't seen the movie so can't say.
