IO has ambitious plans for new Hitman
To be honest, I would find it strange if IO Interactive were to say they're focusing on making it a low-budget crap game.
Anyway, Gamasutra got word from IO Interactive's studio head Niels Jorgensen said that after release of Hitman: Absolution, they'll be working together with Eidos Interactive's Montreal studio on a new part in the Hitman franchise and that they've got ambitious plans for it:
