In-game advertisement cost Obama almost nothing
The advertisement space that Obama bought in games like Burnout Paradise, Guitar Hero and Madden NFL 09 would have cost him almost nothing.
Of course, "almost nothing" depends entirely upon your point of view, especially in these harsh economic times. The advertisement space is supposed to have cost him $44,465.78. Compare that with the 300 million dollar he has for his entire campaign, and you can indeed say that it is almost "nothing".
The real question of course is whether it will make any impact on the upcoming elections. Something we will probably never know ...
