Infinity Ward announces... an announcement!

Infinity Ward, makers of the Call of Duty series, announced that they'll be announcing something!

Next Saturday is the day to look forward to and here's what they had to say:

Amazing Things To Happen On April 28th:

1758 - James Monroe, 5th President of the United States is born.

1788 - Maryland becomes the seventh state to ratify the Constitution of the United States.

1932 - A vaccine for yellow fever is announced for use on humans.

(Then nothing really happened for a long time.... but now....)

2007 - What goes down this April 28th is equal to, if not surpasses, the magnitude of any of those.

Whose ready?!

Call of Duty 4 anyone? Or Call of Duty 3 coming to PC?

Call of Duty 3 was made by Treyarch and therefore I can almost guarantee it will not be anything to do with the announcement. Plus the fact a Treyarch employee has already stated there is no current plans for Call of Duty 3 to be ported to the PC.

Over the last few months there has been LOTS of negative happenings for IW and if they were to make a huge hype over anything BUT Call of Duty 4, it would be suicidal.

The franchise is FAR from dead, Call of Duty 2 is high in the top most played games. WW2 fps games are among the most successful genres, why would a developer want to avoid it.

And with all possibility of the game becoming modern combat (rumours).

An announcement about an announcement sounds almost like an attempt at a spin, you know, like in politics, to get attention away from something negative by turning it towards something else...
Other than that I can't really think of anything coming from IW that would be able to equal or beat the importance of a vaccine for yellow fever....

We haven't had the war in the Pacific yet with Call of Duty, there's some room there.

Instead of just criticizing it and putting down WWII, how about stating what you would like to see instead? Would be nice.
It's so easy to just put down what is and when it comes to FPS most have been tried so I bet you the devs are sweating to figure out something new...you try it on for size!
Besides, CoD is a WWII FPS...

I think it's quite obvious that the comment you quoted was clearly made by a troll. Trolls go around and express their (often) incorrect opinions on a matter. They do it with very bad grammar and spelling, and usually fail to see the point behind what they're arguing about in the first place. So to ask a smelly troll what he DOES want doing is sort of ludicrous. They're only good at critisizing.
