Infinity Ward returns with CoD6
It's been rumoured for some time now, but Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith has nwo confirmed that Infinity Ward will be making Call of Duty 6 and it's arriving next year:
"In 2009, we expect Infinity Ward to deliver another [entry of] ground-breaking quality, Call of Duty 6,"
However, the guy doesn't seem to be quite sure about that date as little later during the same presentation he stated the game would arrive in 2010:After discussing Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War, which he referred to as Call of Duty 5, the CEO said that "for calendar year 2010, Infinity Ward is already at work on the next installment in the franchise."
Of course, it's possible that Griffith is talking about getting CoD6 released in Activision-Blizzard's fiscal year 2009 which runs up to calendar year 2010.In other news:
