Infogrames taking Atari of the stock market?

Atari's parent company, Infogrames, has offered to buy all remaining stock of the company at USD 1.68 per share.
Atari Inc. has announced that it received a letter from Infogrames Entertainment S.A., the company's majority shareholder, expressing its intent to acquire the remaining outstanding stock of the company.

Atari Inc. said that a special committee of the company's board of directors intends to undertake, together with its advisors, a thorough evaluation of the proposal.
Seeing that Atari has faced delisting several times already in the past, making it a privately owned company again may not be such a bad move. After all, when momentum around Atari rises again, Infogrames can always decide to go back to the stock market with the company....
