According to Famitsu, over 10 million DS Lite consoles were sold in Japan alone. It's obvious that the console has been very profitable in it's first year.


Worldwide, the counter reads 22 million units sold and if you add the sales of the 'old' DS you get the result of 40 million units sold. Very impressive figures for such a small machine.
