wii's graphics suck.. i hear tetris is awesome on it tho..

Graphics are dam good! the graphics on wii sports and the whole mii thing are supposed to be simplistic to lure new gamers old and new in. And it worked.

The graphics are fine. You have to ask yourself, What the diffrence is really as far as game play is concerned. True, you can maybe cram more pixels into something, but really all it does it make it look sharper. Gameplay and graphics don't neccesarily go hand in hand.

what's the use of graphics if the fun factor is not there... the simplicity of the word how to have fun... if they want graphics.. it is more fun to watch a movie.. go and see.. happy feet!

Just listen to yourselves will you, your all talking like the Wii is the only fun console out and its because the graphics are shit and that graphics dont make a game.

Granted you can have fun without having to have every game look like Gears of War or Motor Storm but saying graphics dont add to gameplay is stupid, ofcourse it adds to the game, do you think the like of Call of Duy would be anywhere near as immersive and hectic on the X360 if you didnt have hundreds of enemies running at you screaming with smoke and fire and exlosions and all the particle effects looking amazing its chucking around, how else are you going to care if a character lives or dies if they dont look as close to real as they can, stuff like that is all graphical and if you stripped it all away and replaced it with some gimmicky control system it wouldnt make the game more fun, just look at call of duty on the wii for proof.

Yes the wii has its fun games but it just gets boring after a while swinging that wii-mote around, the wii is limited to quirky have a quick go kinda games but will never have games that will suck you into a believable world and give you the type of visual enjoyment that gears of war or motor storm will give, see the mud effects on motor storm and how it changes the track on later laps after the hard mud has all been worn down and turned into wet slippery mud that can hardly be steered across because you just slide about just like you would do in real life, not only does the mud look incredible if the graphical effect wasnt there but you still slid around more and more as the race progressed it would be stupid.

With better graphics and more horsepower comes better gameplay, the more detailed a game world can be in terms of graphics the more detailed the gameplay can be and the more you are able to do in the game world.

The wii is a great little machine if you just want to have a bit of a laugh and not get serious with a game and play for hours on end or have awesome multiplayer games over the internet, its not the console you would have if you were serious about gaming and i would say the only people that own only a wii and no other console are the people that had never really been bothered about getting a console before, i know thats good because it gets a whole new group of people into gaming but its clearly aimed at a different market and to listen to people talking like now the wii is out no other console matters is just stupid.

The Anonymous guy above me asks whats the use of graphics if the fun isnt there, i dont know about you but every graphicaly stunning game i have played on the X360 and PS3 have all been great fun and the likes of Worms and Geomatry Wars and Marble Blast Ultra are all great fun aswell and they are not graphicaly impressive and they are on the X360, the X360 and PS3 can have a whole variety of games and graphics but the wii will and can only ever be old unpleasing to the eye looking games with a quirky control system, take the controller away and you have a gamecube.

Every first person shooter on the wii is aweful, they all look horrible and control horrible so wheres your graphics dont make a game there then.

Also what you on saying that if you want to see good graphics go and see Happy Feet are you 7 years old or something, i dont mean happy feet is a kids film because i really enjoyed it but using a cg animated film in an argument about the graphics power of consoles is beyond ludicrous.

So you would never want to be playing games that look as good as happy feet, that will never happen with your beloved wii-cube and its shit graphics but oh so fun gameplay.

I know that all probably reads like im slagging off the wii but i think it has its place but reading people saying that graphics are not important and the wii is so much fun just amuses me, its fun for an hour just like going into an arcade is fun and using all the different control methods on offer but you soon go back home to your X360 PS3 or PC for you proper gaming pleasure.

well said.. will keep it in my mind.. but as i aged.. day by day. i just dont really have the time to play with PS3.. where the games are so complicated.. especially with the remote.. so many buttons.. this and that.. I'm not a real gamers like you.. i do respect your opinion on this.. but as a simple family guy... i do ahve fun with my family when playing the wii.. the laughter and the simplicity of the game is simply priceless..

I just wished that PS3 will be able to do something about it.. like introducing the magic handle also.. to make is like a Wii.. with the amazing graphics.. all i ask is for PS3 to make the handle or remote friendly to old aged guy like me...

again.. please pardon me.. i do have a life.. and i dont have the luxury as yours.. where you can sit all day long at your house playing video games.. all i have every day is just 15 - 30 minutes of fun for video games.. except weekend I guess.. where I and my family can play for at least 2 hours...

Bold statement for someone who happily admits to not being that into gaming, there is no winner or loser yet and wont be for another couple of years.

PS3 and Wii have both only been out about 6 months, you say it like you have just told us a FACT when its the most premature comment in the history of premature comments.

From the way you say you game its obvious that you are the people that the wii is aimed at, i kinda doubt you would've got a ps3 on launch if the wii hadnt been made so try and put some perspective on it, i read someone else on here saying the same thing.

Sometimes technological prowess is no match for capturing the emotion of the game players and involving them in the game as much as possible beyond button-pressing.

It will take some serious work to get the costs of this console down, but I still believe the PS3 will be the eventual winner. It's so much more than just another console.

PS4 is coming soon!

"too high" price tag - $600 - in addition to massive production shortages, and the company eventually had to stoop to giving away free game titles so fans would purchase the console.

DUMP THE PS3.. and let's go back to PS2.. it's more decent!
