Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising breaks record
Novalogic's multiplayer shooter Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising breaks a record as the first non-subscription shooter which had 160 players(!) playing a game at the same time on one online server. This happened past Saturday on the 26th of June.
Non-subscription that is, games like Planetside offer larger battles but there you got to pay every month. Not so with Joint Operations which makes for a 'free' (if you forget the purchase price and your normal internet costs) and innovating experience through these mass-battles says Novalogic.
Convinced that the sky is the limit more record attempts will be made this summer. A special Joint Operations tour is roaming the US where gamers can try out the game one hour for free on such a big server. Thanks IGN.
