Kane & Lynch movie doesn't have a director... again
There's been plenty of buzz surrounding the upcoming Kane & Lynch movie with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx being on board for the title roles, but while the shooting was planned to start next month already, the project has gotten quite a drawback. In fact, there's no director anymore.
District 13 director Patrick Alessandrin was going to be at the helm, but apparently he's out. No word about why the man left or got the boot.
As a result, people who previously were already in negotiations for directing the movie are back in the spotlight: Wayne Kramer (Running Scared) and F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job). Also "Brooklyn's Finest" director Antoine Fuqua seems to be talking with the producers to possibly take over the lead.
With no director at the helm, the project has been pushed back and filming is now scheduled to start in the first quarter of next year. At the earliest.
A spokeswoman for Millennium Films had the following to say:
