Katamari creator doesn't like Revolution

Innovation is what Nintendo pushing as their main salespoint but another innovator, Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, doesn't like what's Nintendo doing with the Revolution at all and won't be making games for the console

"I'm not really interested in it. I don't think a controller should have that much influence on the enjoyment of games."

"I see what [Nintendo is] trying to do, but they're putting such emphasis on the controller; 'Woah, this controller lets you do this!' and I'm thinking - are you messing with us?"

"So, there's nothing I really want to do with it right now."

I guess this is something Nintendo really doesn't like hearing...

I think he's wrong - a controller like this WILL have a huge influence on our enjoyment of games. what is more natural in order , for example, to swing a sword; to swing your hand around, or to use one finger to press a button?

No he thinks from a gamedeveloper perspective, and a game should be enjoyable on all platforms. So the real revolution should come from the games not the hardware.

In the case of the controller, game developersfor the revolution are focusing the game around the controller while they should be focussing on the game itself and then decide if a special controller adds value to the game experience.
