Dutch developer Guerilla surprised us with the shooter Killzone. And, of course, a sequel is set for release on the Playstation 3. Three screenshots have been released so far:
Im not sure thats ingame either, so why show these??
If it aint in-game OF the game, screw it, dont show it. You just make ppl all horny on the OMFG screens that are just a movie, meaning not gameplay at all.
But if they are from the gam, weeeeeh :P
I saw the PS3 presentation, and they showed a movie from Killzone 2, it looked like something froma Sci-fi CGI movie like starship troopers, but CG version. So it cant be in-game screens. Would look to damn good :)

they are both in game because they are just like KZ1 in that it gives you the most immersive feel you can get from a first person shooter.
btw KILLZONE RULES ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody with any experience making games could tell you thought the background could quite easiliy be in game, and it could be rendered in the sdk, the sheer bulk of polys required for those models is unlikely.
They are more likely the high res models used for generating the normals etc for the ingame models.
They can quite confidently say that it will look like that but you won't be able to see the exactly same level of detail if you examinine stills of the final game.
To be hounest the quality of rendering is likely to be prety ordinary for games with hdr and shader 3 support, this is likely to look ordinary by the time of it's release.
