Killzone 2 to be patched after release
Killzone 2 to be released unfinished
Apparently, after the launch of Killzone 2, a patch will be made available which includes vehicles and a co-op mode for the storyline. Whether co-op will also become available online isn't known yet.
This isn't the first time Guerrilla does this, also Killzone: Liberation saw a major update after the game's release.
Personally I think this sucks monkeyballs. A game should be released in a completed state and "free downloadable content" after release is starting to be used all too much to make up for half-finished products. Oh, and I do want to mention that it isn't sure yet whether the patch will be free...
