L.A. Noire and Duke Nukem don't prevent Take2 from losing money
Posted on Tuesday, 9 August 2011 by Speed, source: IndustryGamers
Take2 has released their latest financials which aren't too great.
Despite releases of L.A. Noire and Duke Nukem Forever, the company saw its sales drop from $375.4 miillion to $334.4 million and build up a net loss of $8.6 million.
The good news was that Take2 saw sales of DLC went up no less than 49% compared to last year.
Take2 CEO Strauss Zelnick is very confident about his company and believes they're fully in line with expectations:
The number one title that's missing in the above? Max Payne 3.

Take2 CEO Strauss Zelnick is very confident about his company and believes they're fully in line with expectations:
"During the first quarter, we delivered revenue and Non-GAAP profits that were in line with our expectations. Our results benefited from the launch of Rockstar's groundbreaking and critically acclaimed title - L.A. Noire, the release of Duke Nukem Forever, continued strong sales of NBA 2K11 and Red Dead Redemption, and growth in digitally delivered content. Given our solid performance year-to-date and robust pipeline of upcoming new releases, we are well positioned to be profitable on a Non-GAAP basis in fiscal year 2012."
Towards the rest of the year he mentioned BioShock Infinite, Spec Ops: The Line, and Borderlands 2, as well as "a very strong pipeline of yet-to-be announced titles in development".The number one title that's missing in the above? Max Payne 3.
