L.A. Noire sells 40% less than Red Dead Redemption

Arvind Bhatia, analyst at Sterne Agee, has announced that L.A. Noire has sold about 900.000 copies in the US during the motnh of May, which means it's still running 40% behind Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption.
The analyst stated that Red Dead Redemption in a similar timespan was good for 1.5 million copies. He also believes the total sales revenue of Team Bondi's title will be a lot lower than Rockstar's western.

“RDR has sold through 8.5M units life-to-date,” said Bhatia. “We have assumed L.A. Noire will sell 3.4 to 4 million units in its life or 50 to 60 percent below RDR. In other words, the sales trajectory for L.A. Noire (-40% versus RDR) in its first month is right in line with, if not slightly above, our assumptions.”
Of course the guy doesn't take into account that both titles are totally different genres and that it's normal that L.A. Noire appeals to a smaller audience. But what do they care? These guys are financial analysts who only look at numbers.In other news:
