Lara Croft will get a third movie

Six years after Paramount released the second Lara Croft movie, Warner announced that they are giving the series another chance with a second sequel.

Not much is known at this point but Hollywood Reporter writes that the film will "bear little resemblance to the original pictures" and "reimagine the origins of the character, her love interest and the main villain".

Eidos Interactive's Ian Livingstone will become the executive producer while Dan Lin from the upcoming Sherlock Holmes film will produce.

Who will play Lara is not known, although Angelina Jolie does not seem to be mentioned. What they play got word from the management of Megan Fox (Transformers) that she will not be playing the lead.

Although Angelina is hot I found it hard to accept her doing Lara's moves and holding those two giant canons with ease. Too fragile and feminine to be a killer-chick. Next Lara must show muscle imho.
