Lawyer shuts up Microsoft about XBL

Posted on Monday, 14 January 2008 by Speed, source: Next-Gen
Thanks to some lawyer that's sueing Microsoft for the troubles with Xbox Live, we're not hearing anything anymore.

In short, that's what Major Nelson said in his latest podcast

“Unfortunately… a lawyer has decided to sue us, there is litigation, and once that happens I can no longer make a comment [regarding Xbox Live’s status},”

“I can’t say anything so I apologize, but go talk to the lawyer… That’s all I can say about that,”
Earlier this month some lawyer apparently has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft saying that the company is in breach of contract for the outages the service experienced during Christmas period. The guy now wants $5 million in damages.

Hell this is funny!

How can you sue for 'damages' (especially $5 mil) when the only problem is his XBL is not working? Surely the only money he is entitled to is what he paid for his subscription.

Give him that money back, then hardware ban him from XBL, so that when it is fixed, he has nothing...
