Lionsgate wants a Dead Island movie
Lionsgate COO Joe Drake sent out a press release today to announce the company's plans to make a movie has on Dead Island, the game created by Techland and published by Deep Silver.
Especially the trailer - which made quite the stir upon releaes - will serve as creative inspiration. That may be for the best as the game itself consists mainly of thinking creatively about how to slay zombies. Story has little to do with it.
The makers will focus on displaying human emotions, family ties and the non-linear telling of a story. Drake himself was mostly impressed with the trailer:
