LittleBigPlanet announced for PS3, trailer inside
Posted on Thursday, 8 March 2007 by Zwan, source: Fragland.net
As an example of their so-called 'Game 3.0' concept, Sony also announced LittleBigPlanet yesterday.
This charming game focuses on user-generated content. Gamers will have a lot of tools at their disposal to do so. You'll start out in a garden as a little, brown creature and you'll have to find out how the objects around you work and how you can interact with them. Later on, you'll be able to create your own items and place them into the world.
In theory there are no limits to what you can create (from skateboards to even jetpacks) and the game is playable for up to 4 players through co-op.
No date has been set for LBP, but it's clear this little gem can cause a revolution in how games are played. We'll keep a close eye on this one!
The first trailer for the game has been released as well and you can grab it locally:

The key factor for Harrison and Media Molecule is that there is no limit to what you can achieve, which was highlighted by a demonstration led by lead designer Chris Healy. The maximum of four players participated in a pre created game, the object of which was to collect the sponge resource.

It looks stunning and looks like great fun to play and the character animation and facial expressions had me in stitches, check out sackboys face when his mate puts stars on his head.
I love the idea of making your own levels and with such ease, will be great to see what people can come up with and reckon you could spend hours with your mate trying to create some brilliant levels.

"sackboys face when his mate puts stars on his head".
Yeah that made me choke on my beer dude and I swear a little bit of wee came out. Even made the girlfriend laugh but I did get fed up with the constant awe that is so cute comments she kept making and also a little scared she may take over my TV when it's released.
Sandbox gaming has really made a huge leap forward with this one imo. It's ironic really that it has taken a console (you know the thing that isn’t a PC that just plays games ) to show people how a sandbox game creator should be done.
A few mates a few beers and this game could be seriously damaging to your sleep. I cant wait to see some of the twisted stuff that gets uploaded to the net. Can you imaging all the pictures that will end up plastered all over the game levels. Time to start hiding from those digital cameras I think. I was already thinking of how I can sneak naughty parts of the GF into the game lol. I bet you will have to age rate your levels. The mind boggles with just how much fun this could potentially be.

Your right about the pictures, as soon as i saw it i thought my nuts are going up there and like my mate said to me, he will be running along creating the level while im behind him just putting graffiti on everything, i think this game is going to be hilarious which is a good thing because i havet had a nights gaming in ages where me and my mates was pissing ourselves laughing, not since Halo 2 i think.
Having said that though i had a wicked laugh playing Worms with my mates the other night.

LMAO@vexxed let the games begin.
I can see we are deffo some of the people that are going to get banned but it will be worth it.
Imagine the six o clock news. " Today on the news Sony new super console the PS3 a young mother from Wigan was appalled at the sight of gamer called vexxed hairy balls hanging out in all there glory in a computer game aimed at children. The young mother went on to describe the Hairy spheres in great detail and went on to say my 8 year old is traumatised for life. I had to keep going back to look because I really couldn’t believe what I was looking at. I even took a picture of the screen with my digital camera to show all my friends at the school gates.
When asked to comment vexxed said I didn’t know my balls would cause such a stir but I must admit I am rather proud of my t level that I built. It was lucky she didn’t get to see the next level because on that level you have to navigate my penis on a skateboard veins and all.
