Lord of the Rings Online gets first free update

MMORPG's must be the only genre where players accept that they buy an unfinished product. Yesterday, Turbine Entertainment released their first free update that will give their new MMORPG a lot of new content. With over a 100 new quests, items and a complete new territory, players will spend hours before they can complete all of it.

Discover Evendim - About 100 miles north of the Shire, in northern Eriador, lies Evendim, a vast region dominated by the Lake Nenuial, the ‘Lake of the Twilight'. On the southern shore, the ancient abandoned city of Annúminas -- the former capital of the kingdom of Arnor is well known amongst the Free Peoples. For according to the Legends, amidst its ruins lay a great wealth and powerful artifacts now threatened by evil creatures and the nefarious forces lurking in Angmar.

So what are you Legolas and Frodo fans waiting for? To Middle-Earth!

I've heard alot of mixed feelings on this game, is this game actually good or just another MMO clone.

Have you not seen any screenshots?

The game is another clone of a crappy MMO. The only reason anyone plays this (and pays for it) is because of its title, otherwise its just another piece of crap.

[btw, I mean ingame shots, not the official screenshots which only show the landscape]
