As a passionate gamer, you've probably known this for a while, but now there's scientific proof! Gaming on the Wii can help you lose weight.

Researchers at the Liverpool John Moores University have compared the activity levels during gaming with a traditional controller with those achieved while playing the Wii. Based on around 12 hours gaming a week, you can potentially burn 1830 calories per week. That's 40% more than when using a normal console.

So?! What are you guys waiting for?

Let me just check something. How do you spell lose? Because I was always taught to spell it with one 'o', but I see loose spelt so much over the internet. Loose as far as i know means not tight, while lose is the opposite of gain. Unless this is perhaps an american spelling, or is everyone wrong, or am I wrong?

Anyone?

No, you are actually right.

Like you said, loose is something that is not tight. It's also a translative verb describing an action in which something is either loosened (eg. a screw) or let loose (eg. a horse).

Opposite of gaining weight is indeed losing weight, not *loosing weight.

WTF?.

Most fat birds that could do with losing weight tend to be quite loose also though.
