1Up received word from an inside source that Electronic Arts have cancelled the upcoming LoTR RPG, Lord of the Rings: The White Council

Under the condition of anonymity a source revealed to 1UP that the ambitious, licensed, RPG that was to be Lord of the Rings: The White Council is no more.

Well, I guess we've seen plenty of lord of the rings up to now already...

maybe tolkien enterprises will smarten up and give the LOTR rights to a studio that can make a decent game. I wasnt looking forward to this because of EA, this would've turned out like another one of their sub-par movie games and would only be received with disappointment
