Silly Sony... I will say that I'm atleast glad they're trying some angle. It's bound to please atleast someone more than they were currently pleasing.

The instant anyone announces their new game plan everyone else says its just a copy of their something they came up with, when will this crap end and everyone just appreciate what these companies are bringing to the table for us to enjoy. (i feel an outburst brewing) Nobody got owned, if Sony just got owned then so did everybody who's ever released a console since the first console was released because surely they are just copies of something else that somebody else did before. Its like saying Sega's Virua Tennis series is just a blatant copy of Pong. What could Sony offer for their online service that is'nt going to be similar to anything that is allready available on another system. Im not interested in walking around an online universe myself but you cannot say that their Home service does'nt look anything short stunning and just think about one thing and that is what Achievments has done for XboxLive. A massive majority of people on Xboxlive are serious Gamerscore whores, something about having a number on a screen next to your name that holds ZERO worth or meaning has somehow gotten people addicted to going for more achievments but purely just to boost their score, the achievment itself means nothing to most. (obviously thats not what everyone is like but unfotunatly a hell of a lot of people are) Back on subject proper though, look at what rewards are being offered as achievments on Sony's home, actual trophies to put in your trophy room and new furniture and the like to decorate your house so you can invite your mates around and brag about your stuff and show off your trophies, surely that is going to make all them score whoring nobbers on xboxlive salivate just thinking about it and all the people that love The Sims will cream their undies when they see this and thats just for starters, people will get addicted to this and spend hours faffing around in there and you know they will. Like the idea or hate the idea, its dam clever and it is going to appeal to massive amount of people + it finally looks like Sony will have a uber solid online service on par with MS's xboxlive service if not better. One more thing though and that is what MS says above, if you watch the videos on Home and listen you will know that EVERYTHING that can be done in this virtual world to enhance your online gaming pleasure can be done from the crossbar without having to go into the Home universe so if walking around it doesnt appeall then you just dont use it but you get all the pros of how it all works with voice chat and gaming online in the same way xboxlive currently works. OH and its FREE, you dont think that will win people over! AHH! thats better.
