Making profit is Sony's first priority
At Sony's annual shareholder meeting in Tokyo, Sony Chairman Howard Stringer stated that the top management priority for the entire company is making their TV and gaming businesses profitable again.
Sony Corp. Chairman Howard Stringer said the company's top management priority is ``to restore profitability in our television and game businesses,'' both of which lost money last fiscal year.
Well, I was always under the impression that a company's first priority was to make money so his comment does make some sense, especially seeing that the PlayStation division alone has lost Sony around $3.4 billion over the past two years.In other news:
