Yes, it's still an rpg, they've just shown a lot of action in this trailer. There is also an older trailer (e3 2006) on the bioware site (www.bioware.com), you can see a lot more of the typical rpg-gameplay in that one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this does not strike me as the typical RPG, for instance KOTOR. It looks more like a hybrid FPS-RPG ala Deus Ex.

You are probably right, compared to kotor/oblivion the combat system is indeed far more complicated. Most of the action actually reminds me of ghost recon advanced warfighter (the team commands etc).
