Medal of Honor is selling great, but you don't get numbers
Despite getting less than glorious reviews and the company's stock even going downhill as a result, Electronic Arts today sent out word that the game is selling great!
If I were into conspiracy theories, I would think EA sent out this message in a move to keep their stocks from tumbling any further and hoping that European sales will make up for what's going on in the US so they can come out with some factual numbers later. If and EU sales aren't so great... well, then they've still said they are and they won't go into further detail. Case closed! :)
Electronic Arts Inc., today announced great Medal of Honor day one sales and that the game is well in position for an outstanding holiday.
Medal of Honor launched yesterday with strong momentum and early internal indicators show that the game is off to a great commercial start. In the U.S., retail response has been overwhelmingly positive with midnight launch events at nearly all Gamestop locations nationwide and with major mass merchandising retail chains already exceeding their Day 1 forecasts.
That's fantastic news, isn't it? So how great are these sales then in reality? Well, EA "forgot" to mention that. Maybe they don't want to say anything until the game arrives in stores in Europe tomorrow.Medal of Honor launched yesterday with strong momentum and early internal indicators show that the game is off to a great commercial start.
