Mega Drive games not confirmed for PS3 yet

An interview with Ken Kutaragi was probably not correct translated, because Sega denies for now that there will be Mega Drive games available on the download service of the PS3.

At least that's what SEGA reckons, having released a statement in Japan, picked up by IGN, which says, "Distribution of Mega Drive content through [PS3] e-Distribution is something that cannot be formally announced by our company. We're now at the step of looking into it."

However, they do state that they started studying the possibility. Besides that, they confirm the availability of Mega Drive games on the Virtual Console of the Wii and the Sonic The Hedgehog game on Xbox Live.
