Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence announced

Posted on Thursday, 19 May 2005 by Mario, source: Fragland
Hideo Koijima is a busy man. Metal Gear Solid 4 is already in the making for the PS3 and to satisfy our appetite in the meanwhile he's working on another Metal Gear game for the PS2, titled: Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. See the resemblance with Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance!

It's comparable with Substance as Subsistence is an enhanced version of Snake Eater. Enhanced meaning: new gamemodes, the addition of the first two Metal Gear Solid games that came out on the MSX2 and oh yes, finally an online mode. In this online mode players can set up their own mission and rules and choose between a "Team Battle" or a "Snake and Enemy" mode.

To make things better, Hideo even managed to throw in a couple of extra "Snake vs. Monkey" missions where you have to take on those irritating monkeys of Ape Escape. And even that's not all. You also get new camera angles and a Demo Theater mode. Ain't that something?

An exact releasedate is not yet known but to keep you guys busy for a while, we've also got a couple of screenshots online.
