Metal Gear Solid movie announced

In a recent broadcast of Hide-chan Radio, an announcement was made on a new movie. The movie would be based on the MGS franchise, something most Snake fans will love to hear.

Today this announcement was confirmed by Hideo Kojima, a name that should sound quite familiar to most of the Metal Gear fans. He is the man behind the entire Metal Gear Solid series.

Now the question remains, will this movie be as much of a disaster as past movies based on games were, or will this one be a real block buster. We all remain in doubt but let's hope for the best!

Michael Biehn should be Solid Snake, he was a soldier from the future in The Terminator, he made an awesome Marine dude in James Cameron's Aliens, and made a heroic Navy SEAL dude in the movie Navy SEAL's. He also made a heroic Navy SEAL guy in Michael Bay's The Rock back in 1996. Michael Biehn as Solid Snake and Josh Holloway (Lost) should be Liquid Snake, I don't know but Josh looks more like Liquid than Snake.

How about this: David Hayter as Snake in all 3 MGS games, and perhaps Michael Biehn as Old Snake in MGS 4 the movie!

All the metal gear fans know that snake was modeled after biehn as kyle reese. Everytime I watch the first terminator when Reese is having the flash back in the future fighting that giant robot it reminds me of Metal Gear. Even when he jumps into that car and they're driving while shooting that plane fighter in the sky reminded me of end of MGS when driving and shooting at liquid.
Beside this movie would be a great way to pay homage to the greatest action hero of all time. Just to remind people that Arnold originally wanted to play reese. And since then has been the hero in other films and defined the typical action hero, and even stole the famous line "come with me if u want to live". Biehn deserves this role and would totally rock it. Think about it, metal gear solid is when snake comes out of retirement. It would mirror real life like biehn is returning to his action roots having kicked ass in the past.
Now whos with me?

Well, it looks like Konami and Hideo Kojima indirectly plugged a hint for the movie in MGS4. There was an interview showed just before the start of the game, it has hayter in full camo and a solid eye eyepatch and says that he had just gotten off the set of his new movie. so David Hayter will be Solid Snake!

Well, I think David Hayter should be Snake in the live-action Metal Gear Solid movie. And if Vamp were to star in it, which I doubht he will, I think Michael Wincott from The Crow and Strange Days should play him.

Exactly! I totally agree with you on Biehn being Snake, I'm sick of people suggesting actors who are doing action movies in this era. You need somebody from the 80 sci-fi action flicks to play Snake, Some 1 like Michael Biehn or Kurt Russell, even the dude who was the lead in Robocop back in the 80s, becuase Snake is an old man obviously, I mean he's been around for YEARS and Michael Biehn is just perfect for the role of Solid Snake!

I understand you, but um, everybody knows Snake was based on 3 main action hero's from the 80s - Mel Gibson, Michael Biehn and Kurt Russell. Unfortunately, they're all too old now, I always pictured Russell Crowe as Snake, but I doubht he'd do it, starring in a movie based game would probably seem silly to him. I think Johnny Messner from Tears of the Sun should be Snake, or even the dude from TV's Lost - Josh Holloway.

an mgs movie should be cgi with all the voice actors from the games returning to play their roles and hideo kojima in the directors chair. its the only way to do the series justice and its already pretty much a movie anyway with gameplay sprinkled in for kicks.
