Michael Bay may very well be the director of the upcoming Prince of Persia movie! Producer Jerry Bruckheimer sees an appropriate colleague in the director.

It won't be the first time these two will be working together either. They already co-op-ed on The Rock, Pearl Harbor and the two Bad Boys movies. Normally Bay is expected to start filming as soon as he's dealt with that other film he's shooting at the moment, Transformers to be exact.

Jordan Mechner, the brain behind the original Prince of Persia series, says that the movie won't just be a follow-up to the game, but more of a cool addition to the entire franchise combined with a great new story.

Looking at the past achievements of the duo (like The Rock), we might just be able to expect one hell of a movie!
