Michael Pachter: 500 GB HDD for Xbox 360

As if there weren't enough rumours floating around about the Xbox 360, the known analist Michael Pachter decided to up the ante.

He believes Microsoft is planning a 200GB, or even a 500GB, version. On top of that, the 120GB HDD -currently reserved for the X360 Elite- would become standard on Premium models. his would turn the Xbox 360 into a real Media Center.

In other news, Aaron Greenberg of Microsoft also reports that the HD DVD add-on has sold very poorly thusfar and that the focus of the company has alsways been on the Live Video Marketplace.

The largest laptop drive is 320 gig available today. The xbox uses a laptop drive. So a 500 GB drive is at least 1 year away from current xbox market.

i have already done this

i bought an xbox 360 arcade for 200$ from Game Stop, and then i bought an xbox 360 hard drive shell/adapter for 20$ from XCM, then i bought a 2.5" 500GB Samsung drive for 100$
from newegg.
1. placed hardrive in the adapter
2. plug the adapter to the xbox 360
3. formated drive
and viola
in total it was about 350$ for an xbox 360 with 500GB hard drive
compared to the 400$ retail xbox 360 elite with only 120GB hard drive
