Movie still on hold

Those happy with the news about Spielberg doing the Halo movie shouldn't get their hopes up too high.

A Microsoft representative told Kotaku that at the entire movie project is currently on hold until further notice due to the fact that all the company's efforts are focused towards Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach

We're glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm in the entertainment industry surrounding the idea of a Halo movie. That said, the Halo feature film remains on hold as we focus on projects like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach.

Of course not a totally surprising answer seeing Microsoft generally doesn't really confirm stuff before something is written in ink.

In any case, "on hold" still sounds a lot better than "cancelled"
