Microsoft: Windows is biggest gaming platform!

Posted on Tuesday, 22 June 2010 by Speed, source: Kotaku
Kotaku got their hands on an internal Q&A from Microsoft regarding Fable 3 which supposedly shows dedication from the company towards PC gaming.
In terms of revenue, Windows is far and away the largest gaming platform in the world, so it's an incredibly important part of Microsoft's business. From core games like "Fable III" to casual, social and Facebook titles, more gaming happens on Windows than anywhere else. Windows 7 is a world-class gaming platform, and you can bet Microsoft has a vested interest in using it as a platform for amazing first party content. "Fable III" on Windows as well as Xbox 360 this holiday is a great first step, and we'll have more news for you later this summer.
Dedicated to PC gaming... that's why we didn't hear one word about it from Microsoft at the biggest gaming expo in the world!

Baby steps speed. Baby steps. people are starting to slowly realize that it doesnt cost 2000 dollars to make a pc that can run high end games. Hell, I just made one for under 500 that gives me 60 fps in BC2, and its quad core to boot.

So i get better graphics than any console, plus the millions of other tasks only a PC can deliver, for only bout 200 bucks more than a console.

With Windows 7 doing such an amazing job at driver installation now, anyone can build one so much easier these days and not worry about alot of the software issues of the past. Put it together and boot er up for the most part.
