I am not a fanboy, that is why. I am a PC Games, but the only console I see feasible for me is the PS3.

PS3 uses more advanced technology than an XBox 360. More advanced, or in some cases just alternative technology. It's not going to be cheap, and there's a lot of controversy about it mainly for that. However, it will be, wether you like it or not, the new benchmark console. Its design is much more out-of-the-box than the XBox 360's design (and I don't mean appearances). The 360 aimed to increase performance in a raw horsepower showdown so to speak. The PS3 went around that, a bit like how AMD chips perform equal to much higher clocked Intel chips.

Then again, I remember when the GeForce 5 came out. nVidia had laid all its eggs in one basket and decided they didn't need publicity and could afford to go their own way... well because of that ATi's such a major player right now. Maybe Sony has overstaked her claim a bit like that as well.

It doesnt matter if the PS3 is more advanced technically,as the old saying goes,graphics do not a good game make.better graphics due to more power is not a revolution no matter how you word it,xboxlive is a massive leap in console gaming whatever your view and thats a fact,what has happened recently in console gaming thats been bigger than xboxlive?,what im saying about the PS3 is its just another machine that plays games and runs films regardless of the format,amazing as a new Tekken and GranTurismo no doubt will be if they are not online with a decent online service with reliable servers and some kind of friends list then i wont be in any rush to play said games,i love good single player games with good stories but multiplayer gaming is where the time is put these days and i would of thought anyone who says they are a PC man would have exactly the same opinion since PC's have had multiplayer online since the dawn of time.All im saying is if the PS3 has a piss poor online service then its just a PS2 with graphically better games and im getting sick of people saying its going to be amazing because it has 1080p,im willing to bet that atleast 90% of people that own a PS2 and that would run out and get a PS3 know questions asked just beacause its the new PlayStation dont even have HD ready tv's or if they do sure as hell will not support 1080p.If the online was great or atleast on par with xboxlive then Sony would be shouting it from the rooftops instead they are constantly saying we have 1080p and no one else does,they have even said that 1080p is the only true HD resolution,what does that say about every TV in the shops especially the Sony centre that have HD ready sickers all over them.Its just typical marketing hype and everyones swallowing it,i would of thought anyone who has the slightets bit of knowledge about the games industry would think the same,every new console that comes along especially from sony is hyped to the max with what its capable of and i cant believe that a slightly higher and im sure not even noticable resolution is the best they came up with this time and like i said people are believing it,just read zwan's first post again.

PS3 is just not "another machine" for your information. It will be able to do much more than plain gaming.

Download film trailers and game demos and maybe old arcade games i guess,hang on im pretty sure there is another console that has been doing that since november last year.

Maybe downloadable films and games later on down the line but again i think there is a console on the market already that plans on doing that in the future also,hang on theres the wireless pad (no wait) hard dirve attached (hang on) HD (all sound a bit familiar).

OH OH! i got it,its got a pad with a motion sensor in it althought i think nintendo are copying sony with that idea :-).
I just thought of something,you can use your PSP as a rearview mirror on gran turismo,thats clever.
One hand on the pad and the other holding the PSP or get a mate to stand next to you holding it,now thats worth the asking price alone.
