Microsoft is bringing 'Panorama' to Vista

Shacknews has word that Microsoft is planning on announcing Panorama sometime soon. What goes under the title of a Windows gaming service, should be a twin of Xbox Live! Arcade on the Xbox360. The platform does not seem to be emulated, which leads to the asumption of cross-platform games.

When contacted for comment, Microsoft acknowledged the existence of Panorama but would not confirm or elaborate on any particular features. It is possible that the company plans to announce the project during its Microsoft Gamefest conference in Seattle next week.

Microsoft employee Andre Vrignaud has replied through his blog on the rumours, saying that Panorama is the codename for a Live!-ish project for Windows Vista.
