Microsoft predicts PS3 price cut

Always funny to see competition going strong but when your competitor is saying you're going to be dropping the price of your product very soon we're reaching a whole new level!

Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg told Edge that he believes a price cut for the PS3 is imminent:

"We absolutely expect the PS3 price drop to happen in the next couple of months. We're frankly surprised it's taken this long. ... I would expect they'd have to move on price, sooner than later, for sure."

Funny to hear not after Sony has officially announced there won't be any drops in price anytime soon.

sony had to deny any price cuts that would be happening in 2009 prior to the christmas season so that people dont wait until the price cut to buy a ps3.. otherwise that would make bad christmas season sales for sony.. i think that there will be a price cut in March

March sounds about right for a price drop, not sure why Greenberg feels he needs make a statement though. Pretty cheap shot if you ask me at best its arrogant, at worst its intentional to make consumers think twice about buying a PS3.
