Microsoft to buy Blizzard ?
EvilAvatar has made a rough translation of an article that was posted over at Heise Online which has the rumor that Microsoft might be in negotiations with Vivendi to buy Blizzard and bring World of Warcraft first to the XBox console as an exclusive to release it on pc later on
Microsoft is for quite some time with Vivendi in the discussion because of Blizzard (source: Magazine Gamestar, last October 2003). Concretely: Microsoft would like to bring World of Warcraft exclusively first on XBox. Later release on PC offers itself, could however from strategic considerations be shifted up to the PC. The beta running at present did not become spatial therefore only (the USA, Kananda, South Korea) but also of the locations of the play reduced (see wow.gamona.de/).
Of course, you may take this with a grain of salt as this is currently still only a rumourIn other news:
