Microsoft to fund Halo movie?

Over at AndNetwork is word that Microsoft may have found the ideal partner to fund the upcoming Halo movie: themselves!
At least, that's what AndNetwork is suggesting although there's no proof or quotes in their own newspost that back their statement.
Response from Microsoft is the usual "we have no announcements to make at this point" but it wouldn't be such a strange thing as the company has more than enough money to do it and they would only need a distribution partner to help them further.
I guess we'll get to hear some official news as soon as all the new deals have been signed
