Midway gets hit hard
Although there were some lights at the end of the tunnel, the Q3 finacial report of Midway is looking pretty grim. Midway says they sold over a million copies of their shooter title Stranglehold wich is impressive as it won't be released in Europe untill the end of November.
Despite this good news, Midway lost even more money this year compared to the same period last year, being 33,5 million USD. The reason for these low figures they say, is that they had to push back a lot of releasedates due to an inadequate hardware install base for their Wii titles and some development issues with the PS3
They say however that these problems are already solved, so their games should get simultaneous releases on the different platforms.

"The demand for Wii product has put a pretty big strain on Nintendo's production capacity and that has in turn, for us, turned into longer lead times for some of our Wii products. During the holidays this fact has resulted, for us, in reduced ability to get product to shelves. For front-line releases that's largely solved, but it's a bigger issue for re-orders right now."
"We ran into some technical issues developing for the PlayStation 3 wich have taken more time to finalize than we expected."
