Midway is interested in SCi

The rumours of a possible take-over of British publisher SCi keep on coming. After Vivendi Universal announced not being in the take-over mood, Midway let us know they are interested in taking over SCi.

The U.S. based publisher isn't doing all that well at the moment as L.A. Rush and Area 51 are not as succesful as hoped. If they do take over SCi their current situation could turn around as they will have their hands on such upcoming titles as Hitman 4 and Tomb Raider: Legends, two highly possible best-sellers.
SCi's current value is estimated at around £406 million.

"Midway is a mid-tier publisher, as is SCi, and to compete with Activision and Electronic Arts, the market leader, they both would benefit from the synergies of being put together." said The Business' industry analyst Nick Gibson.
