Midway's Q3 losses double, board chairman leaves

No Fatality just yet

Midway has presented its Q3 financials and it isn't a pretty sight. The company's losses have doubled to $75.9 million despite revenues having gone up to $51.4 million.

Shari Redstone, chairman of Midway's board and daughter of Summer Redstone who's been hit hard by the current credit crunch, as a result has decided to step down.

Don't think it's game over for Midway though, as Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has optimistic feelings:

"Notwithstanding the continued restructuring theme and likely delay of a return to profitability by another year, we remain cautiously optimistic that Midway will perform better in 2009 than it is expected to perform in 2008,"
