Midway's marketing VP bails, moves to Capcom

Mona has given up the fight and is welcomed with open arms at Capcom

That things aren't going too well at Midway is no secret, and the rats seem to be fleeing from the sinking ship. Not saying that Midway's former VP of Marketing, Mona Hamilton, is a rat of course, it's just a figure of speech ;)

Anyway, Mona has decided to make a reasonably safe bet in these rough times and has chosen to become Capcom's VP of Marketing. I'm sure she'll have more job security than with Midway.

“Mona and I have worked together successfully in the past and I’m pleased to welcome the addition of her management style and marketing perspective to the group here at Capcom,” said Mark Beaumont, chief operating officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe.

Mona was named "one of the top 100 Influential Women in the games industry" by Women in Games International in 2006
